Experience Troy 2025

SNAPSHOT OF TROY A SPECIAL STATEMENT FROM MAYOR ETHAN D. BAKER Troy offers highly-ranked schools, safe neighborhoods, and a thriving economy. Troy was voted the safest city in the state and has one of the lowest tax rates in Oakland County. Thanks to highly rated schools, a college, and several universities, Troy is easily one of the best places in Michigan for families. On Behalf of the City of Troy, Michigan’s premier spot for business, retail and commerce, I am proud to celebrate the Troy Chamber’s 2025 Experience Troy publication. The excellent partnership between the City and the Troy Chamber Team ensures that Troy is a prime location for new and expanding businesses. Troy continues to thrive and prosper. We had so much development in 2024, both public and private projects, making Troy the ideal location for families and businesses. We are very proud that Livability named Troy one of the best places to live in the U.S. for 2024 for the second year in a row. Troy continues to be one of the most desirable places to live and work in the state and our nation, a testament to our outstanding City services, highly-ranked schools, safe neighborhoods, and a thriving economy with automotive technology and manufacturing at the heart. Troy continues to be one of the safest cities in Oakland County. In 2024, we opened our new Pavilion, skating amenity, and fire pits at the Stine Community Park. In 2025, we will unveil our new Troy Community Foundation Performing Arts Stage at Stine Park, the perfect amenity for music in Troy. We also broke ground on a new permanent Cricket Field at Boulan Park, thanks to a $900K grant from the State of Michigan. This will be the first full size field with a scoreboard, dugouts, and screen wall in Southeast Michigan. Opening spring of 2025, it will become the first cricket field to be certified by the International Cricket Association in Michigan. From upscale shopping and diverse dining to outdoor activities, the City of Troy provides residents and businesses with abundant amenities. Home to more than 40 million square feet of retail, office, and industrial space, plus a highly educated workforce, Troy’s business environment is progressive and diverse with a mix of major corporations and small local businesses. For these, and so many other reasons, it is no wonder that the City of Troy is one of the best places to live, work, learn, and play.
